Wieland acquires Breuckmann eMobility
In line with its strategy to expand its technology portfolio, Wieland has acquired Breuckmann eMobility effective August 12th 2022. The company was founded in 2018 as a subsidiary of Breuckmann GmbH & Co. KG., a family owned business with over 60 years of experience in copper and copper alloys cast-ing.
Breuckmann eMobility produces zero porosity rotors (ZPR®) out of copper as well as aluminum. These are manufactured based on a patented die casting technology called laminar squeeze casting and have applications in the rail, industrial and automotive sectors. Located in Heiligenhaus, Germany and Esztergorm, Hungary, the company has been renamed to Wieland eTraction Systems.
